Audrey Carlson, DVM
Dr. Carlson grew up on Colorado’s Front Range and began competing in hunter/jumper events at just eight years old. Her early success in hunters, jumpers, and equitation on a national level sparked a lifelong passion for equine sports medicine.
She earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Denver in 2014, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Colorado State University in 2018. During her time at CSU, she also became certified in veterinary acupuncture.
Following graduation, Dr. Carlson completed a comprehensive internship at Austin Equine Hospital in Driftwood, TX. She went on to pursue a Sport Horse Fellowship with Miller & Associates, serving clients in Brewster, NY and Wellington, FL.
Over the past four years, she refined her diagnostic expertise at Vetwerx Equine North. During this time, she also became certified in animal chiropractic care and as an Equine Nutrition Advisor.
When she’s not working, Dr. Carlson enjoys riding and developing her young horses, as well as cooking, sailing, and exploring the outdoors with her dog, Lexie.

She firmly believes the horse comes first and is dedicated to offering premium, evidenced-based, ambulatory services for you and your horse.

Dr. Audrey Carlson will diligently work with you and your horse to have them feeling their best in and out of the show ring.
